Job summary

Planet is seeking a Customer Success Manager to support global small‑customer relationships on the Global Tech Touch team. You will retain and expand accounts with a low‑touch approach, acting as the Planet ambassador for geospatial products across Asia‑Pacific, including Japan.

The role is full‑time and remote within the Asia‑Pacific region. If near an office, you may work from that office 3 days per week.

Qualifications

4+ years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Strong knowledge of geospatial technologies and GIS/Remote Sensing.
Experience with GIS applications (QGIS, ESRI, GEE).
Experience engaging with customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Ability to coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
Proactive problem solving and multitasking.
Willingness to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

Help customers adopt and realize value of Planet products.
Deliver low-touch onboarding and training.
Provide support to ensure successful delivery of services under the low-touch model.
Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the contract life-cycle.
Collaborate with Finance, Product, Sales and other teams.
Set expectations and guide clients to resources.
Initiate negotiations and manage renewals and expansions.
Identify upsell opportunities for product usage.
