Job summary

Binance is seeking a Research Data Scientist (APAC Remote) to push the boundaries of AI agents for trading, analysis, and decision-making across millions of users. You will work on post-training alignment, efficient inference, and multi-agent coordination in adversarial financial environments.

The role requires a strong research background, experience with transformer models, RLHF/RLVR, and production-oriented ML workflows.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in ML, CS, Maths, Statistics or related field; exceptional Bachelor's with research output considered
• 0–5 years of research or industry experience in ML/AI; strong academic lab or internship valued
• Deep understanding of transformer architectures and LLM pretraining dynamics
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
• Bilingual English/Mandarin for coordination with partners
• First-author publications at top AI/ML conferences on LLM/Agent topics
• Experience designing reward functions, training pipelines, or evaluation frameworks for LLM-based agents
• AI-native development workflow with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot Workspace

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in generative AI and LLMs for crypto/financial domains
• Design and execute rigorous experiments with hypotheses and ablations
• Develop post-training methodologies and evaluation frameworks for LLMs in crypto
• Research test-time scaling techniques to improve agent reasoning in fast-moving markets
• Track NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR/ACL/EMNLP and crypto venues for applicable state-of-the-art methods
