Job summary
An engineering company is seeking a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to enhance equipment reliability at their Singapore facility. Responsibilities include implementing maintenance strategies, collaborating across functions to improve performance, and leading analysis to reduce downtime. Candidates must have a degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with GMP exposure.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the equipment reliability program, including both predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, plan, and execute projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
- Lead and drive site FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) programs to ensure maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Review, analyze, and recommend maintenance strategies in partnership with engineering and operations teams to reduce unplanned downtime and improve metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, cost, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with MRO to ensure critical spare parts are maintained and available on site.
- Lead engineering deviations and analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and implement effective CAPAs.
- Act as the engineering SME for manufacturing deviations, providing technical input and support where required.
- Use a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment capabilities, control logic, and trend analysis to identify and resolve recurring deviations and improve process robustness.
- Develop and implement condition-based maintenance strategies to enhance manufacturing reliability through dependable equipment performance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience
- GMP experience is an advantage.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Meticulous, with a high attention to detail.
