Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to drive maintenance strategies and improve plant reliability in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will lead condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and failure analysis while leveraging CMMS data to optimize programmes.

Qualified candidates bring experience in maintenance, reliability engineering or asset management, with strong analytical and communication skills and a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CMMS experience is highly important.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset management.
• Knowledge of RCM and root cause analysis.
• Experience analyzing equipment data and maintenance KPIs.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience is advantageous.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device) is highly regarded.

Job Scope

• Drive maintenance and reliability improvement to improve equipment performance, plant availability and efficiency.
• Lead condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and failure analysis to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Utilise CMMS and maintenance data to identify failure trends and optimise maintenance programmes.
• Apply Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement, asset improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Optimise spare parts, maintenance costs and service programmes while delivering measurable business value.
• Review and update SOPs, maintenance procedures and reliability documentation.
• Support equipment commissioning, improvement projects and cross-functional engineering activities.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Preferred Background

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Process, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring or asset management.
• Hands-on experience with CMMS is highly important.
• Knowledge of RCM, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Experience analysing equipment data, failure trends and maintenance KPIs.
• Experience in continuous improvement, Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous.
• Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to connect engineering recommendations with cost savings, productivity improvements and measurable business value.
