A leading technology firm is seeking a Release and Deployment Team Lead in Singapore. This role involves managing release and deployment operations, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing performance across time zones.
Job Objective Results-driven Release and Deployment Team Lead to manage end-to-end release and deployment operations within SRE and Governance team Job Responsibilities
• Lead a team responsible for executing and supporting release and deployment activities across critical systems.
• Develop and maintain 24/7 team rosters to ensure uninterrupted coverage and smooth operations.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively for implementation week, optimizing team performance across time zones.
• Act as the primary escalation point for release-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
• Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and project managers to plan and execute releases aligned with business priorities.
• Ensure all deployments meet regulatory, audit, and compliance standards required in the bank.
• Maintain structured release calendars and forward planning schedules.
• Produce post-deployment reports, incident summaries, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
• Participate in CCB meetings, Critical release planning meetings and support go/no-go decisions for critical releases.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on release processes, team procedures, and escalation protocols Essential Requirements (Skills Requirements)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations, release management, or deployment coordination, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in a 24/7 operational support model.
• Familiarity with financial systems and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ITSM processes, and deployment tooling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to handle high-pressure environments and manage complex release cycles Technical / Professional Skills
• PMP/Agile/ITIL certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of financial compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, PCI- DSS).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure- as-code concepts. Non-Technical / Soft Skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
