We are seeking experienced and motivated Relationship Managers / Senior Relationship Managers to join our Corporate Banking team in Singapore. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of corporate clients, drive strategic client engagement, and deliver a comprehensive suite of banking solutions across the Maybank Group.
- Manage a portfolio of existing and new-to-bank Malaysian corporate clients based in Singapore, developing and executing overall account strategies;
- Serve as the primary client contact in Singapore, facilitating seamless engagement across product lines including financing, trade, treasury, investment banking, M&A, and capital markets;
- Originate, market, and execute a wide range of financial solutions including loans, treasury/hedging, capital markets, trade, cash management, and wealth management services;
- Drive cross-selling and client deepening initiatives to enhance portfolio returns and leverage Maybank’s regional strengths;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional offices to unlock business opportunities across the client value chain;
- Maintain strong client relationships and attend to day-to-day banking requirements;
- Prepare credit proposals and reviews, overseeing the full credit process including legal documentation, implementation, and monitoring;
- Handle CDD/KYC documentation and client queries in line with regulatory requirements;
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, credit, and internal policy requirements.
Requirements
- A recognised degree with a strong foundation in Corporate or Commercial Banking;
- Min 3- 8 years relevant banking experience in lending, trade finance, global markets, loan syndication, debt capital markets, leveraged financing, or M&A advisory;
- Proven track record in managing client relationships and originating multi-product banking solutions;
- Prior experience managing large Malaysian corporates is highly desirable. Regional exposure to markets such as Vietnam or Indonesia would be an added advantage;
- Strong financial and credit analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex financial solutions;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead deal teams and engage senior stakeholders;
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented with strong business acumen and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities;
- A team player who can collaborate effectively and build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders;
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia would be advantageous, but not mandatory as the role involves interaction with clients who communicate in the language.
