Job description

Originating and onboarding new institutions & fund customers to ICICI Bank and developing and maintaining good relationships with customers in South East Asia, primarily in Singapore.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing institutional credit proposals, coordinating with other departments for approvals, and undertaking credit monitoring & asset reviews of the portfolio institutions, including compliance with credit terms/regulations.
  2. Performing due diligence checks and completing required KYC for onboarding clients.
  3. Executing transactions efficiently in line with customer expectations.
  4. Understanding regulatory and compliance guidelines and conducting activities within defined frameworks.
  5. Sourcing new business for FPIs, FDIs, FVCIs, covering Custody through engagement with own connections, intermediary channels, and service providers.
  6. Collaborating with the India business team to target new institutional, funds, and custody business, facilitating onboarding, and addressing client queries.
  7. Working with clients on account structure to streamline registration and supporting revenue activities.
  8. Cultivating relationships with intermediaries such as tax, legal, broking firms, and consultants.
  9. Ensuring Service Level Standards are met with integrity and professionalism.
  10. Analyzing industry dynamics, competitor developments, and product intelligence for business impact.
  11. Acting as the primary contact for custody inquiries and collaborating with internal teams.
  12. Keeping abreast of market developments and providing updates to clients/prospects.
  13. Networking and participating in industry events.
  14. Providing feedback on client and market expectations.
  15. Collaborating with local market experts as needed.
  16. Participating in key events, roadshows, webinars, with regional coverage as permitted.
  17. Maximizing business opportunities to contribute to profitability.
  18. Developing and implementing product strategies to meet business goals.
  19. Collaborating with stakeholders for successful initiative implementation.
  20. Leading a team of Relationship Managers and Customer Service Managers.
  21. Performing any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Requirements:

  1. 4+ years of relevant banking experience.
  2. Understanding of FX, Derivatives, and Fund Manager-Fund Vehicle structures, Institutional Banking space.
  3. Understanding of FDI/FPI investments into the Indian market.
