StriveX is partnering with a regional bank who is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their Corporate Banking team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients, with primary focus on strengthening client relationships while achieving business growth and profitability targets. Products coverage includes bilateral lending (term loans & working cap loans), trade finance, and structured/project finance.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with both existing and prospective corporate clients, promoting banking solutions to meet their financial needs and the bank’s business objectives.
  • Assess creditworthiness, industry risks, and the bank’s exposure, providing recommendations in line with internal Underwriting Standards and Credit Policies.
  • Regularly review loan facilities to ensure alignment with account strategies and risk profiles, recommending adjustments as necessary while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and bank policies.
  • Conduct annual or periodic reviews of clients’ financial health, repayment capacity, and industry developments, ensuring credit risks remain within acceptable levels.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor account activity, identify new business opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize account profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Credit Administration and Operations, to ensure efficient processing of transactions and timely completion of credit facilities and documentation.
  • Perform thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) checks for new clients and conduct periodic reviews to comply with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Monitor underperforming accounts, propose corrective actions, and safeguard the bank’s interests, including managing loan-to-value (LTV) ratios and other risk mitigation measures.
  • Act as a backup officer within the team when needed and assist in broader departmental activities as required.

Key Requirements

  • 7-10 years of relationship management experience in Corporate Banking, with strong knowledge of credit evaluation, risk management, and loan structuring.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with a deep understanding of credit policies and underwriting standards.
  • Excellent client relationship management and business development skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly in KYC and due diligence practices.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
