A leading insurance company is seeking an experienced Actuary to join their Regional Actuarial Team. Keyresponsibilities
Pricing of reinsurance treaties across multiple lines of business
Review / develop / maintain pricing tools for Reinsurance business
Provide pricing insights and portfolio analytics
Provide a commercial Actuarial perspective to new business initiatives
Contribute to the development of pricing governance frameworks and documentation standards
Review / develop / maintain actuarial reserving models and processes
Coordinate timely delivery of all actuarial inputs to the local, regional and Group Finance for US and local reporting requirements
Mentor and develop actuarial talent
Who We're Looking For:We're looking for a driven and experienced professional—ideally a Fellow of a recognized actuarial institute—with a strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science. With at least 8 years in general insurance and 5+ years in reinsurance pricing, you’ll bring deep technical expertise and a sharp analytical mindset to our high-performing team.
You thrive under pressure, take initiative, and communicate complex ideas with clarity and confidence. You're fluent in actuarial tools and software, and if you bring leadership experience, APAC market knowledge, or familiarity with ResQ, IFRS17, or multi-basis reporting, that’s a big plus. Essential
Fellow of a recognized actuarial institute (e.g., FIA, FSA, FIAA)
Bachelor´s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial studies
Minimum of 8 years of General Insurance actuarial experience, with at least 5 years in a reinsurance pricing role
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in actuarial software and tools
Demonstrates initiative and maintains high standards under tight deadlines
Desired:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
APAC reinsurance industry market experience preferred
Experience with any of the following
ResQ and/or other reserving software packages
Multiple reporting bases (Aust, SING, HK, Labuan, China and US GAAP)
IFRS17
