We ensure product compliance to global regulatory, market and customer requirements in all our target regions. We work across segments and functions to integrate policy relating to emissions, safety and the environment into products and solutions. As we align regulatory standards with our strategic plans, we work closely with regulatory bodies, as well as with industry and customer groups.

What you’ll achieve

An opening based in Singapore Design Centre (SDC) for Senior Regulatory Engineer of Global Regulations/Standards and Environmental Affairs is available. The primary responsibility will be monitoring and influencing Southeast Asia & ANZ policy areas with the mainly focus particularly on Safety as well as electro-magnetic compatibility, wireless, telecom and product environmental compliance legislation & programs (including Market surveillance). This Individual is required to have good understanding of Southeast Asia & ANZ product compliance regulations and networking with governments & trade associations. To be viewed inside and outside Dell as a Agency Relation Manager (ARM) in the product compliance space. He/she will develop Dell’s Southeast Asia & ANZ product compliance strategy and able to communicate with regional and global teams. This person will interface with all levels of the organization, as well as, represent Dell within industry, standards development and stakeholder groups.

You will
  • To process Southeast Asia & ANZ legislative monitoring, advocacy, interpretation and strategy across all Product Compliance areas.
  • To be responsible for engaging/influencing/lobbying with Southeast Asia & ANZ agencies (e.g, Safety Authority, NEA, TISI, AIIA, etc.) and trade associations (e.g. ITI etc.) to obtain positive alignments with Dell short and long term vision.
  • To work closely with Dell functional teams (e.g. Trade compliance, Government affairs, Marketing, Sales, Distributors, etc.) to ensure timely product approval and no market access issue in Southeast Asia & ANZ.
  • To effectively manage relationships among ODMs/Local Agents/Local Test Labs/ Dell product engineering team to ensure targeted product certification completion for Southeast Asia & ANZ market launches. To work with market surveillance team and regulatory engineers to resolve Non-Conformity and prevent any stop shipment issue.
  • To drive Southeast Asia & ANZ regulatory process & governance framework to effectively operationalize compliance programs. To support data security and environmental audits, drive process improvements and efficiencies;
Essential Requirements
  • Fluency in English and Chinese language is essential.
  • Minimum 8 years and above relevant work experience with a Technical Degree.
  • Knowledge on industry networking and resource on Southeast Asia & ANZ product compliance, especially in Safety, EMC, Wireless, Telecom and Environmental (e.g. Energy, Material, ECO Labels, Accessibility, Repairability, Packaging and etc.) legislation programs. Experience in policy advocacy.
  • Track record of being an enthusiastic and effective team player with experience leading and influencing internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational and communications skills
Desirable Requirements
