Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building-related discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in building design or construction supervision.
• Experience with a technical area under the Approved Document is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal English; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving building plan submissions for safety and accessibility.
• Developing strategies and processes to ensure a robust building control framework.
• Studying data and trends to support evidence-based policy decisions.
• Managing complex feedback cases and enforcing compliance under the Building Control Act.
