Regulatory & Halal Compliance
- Assists in ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant MUIS, SFA, HPB regulations and other related agencies.
- Renewal and application of group company’s licensing.
- Monitors and analyzes changes in regulations and their impact on the company's business.
- Checks the compliance of import and export.
- Supports Company New Product Development (NPD) projects (Internally or Externally).
- Responsible for the review and approval of artwork/label (New and Renovation) in accordance with relevant country regulations and customer requirements.
- Responsible for the review and approval of raw material and formulation in accordance with relevant country regulations and customer requirements.
- Develops and implements compliance procedures and policies.
- Conducts regular checks, internal audits, and reviews to identify and address any compliance risks.
- Issues product defect notifications for any new incoming, old stocks, or any non-compliance products.
- Prepares and submits regulatory reports to MUIS and SFA as required.
- Provides training to employees on MUIS and SFA regulations as required.
- Represents the company in its dealings with MUIS, SFA, and HPB.
- Provides advice and guidance on MUIS, SFA, and HPB regulations.
- Stays up-to-date on all relevant MUIS, SFA, and HPB regulations.
- Oversees the company's compliance program.
- Ensures that the company is meeting all of its regulatory obligations.
- Reports to senior management on the company's compliance status.
- Assists with product registration as needed.
- Ensures the renewal of facility license and halal certification is done.
- Liaises with purchasing and assists R&D in raw material selection according to regulatory compliance.
- Attends Halal courses and training if required.
- Follows GMP, quality, and safety practices.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Entry-level candidates with a background in Food Science, Technology, Quality, or Singapore MUIS Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ) certified are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) certification will be preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in handling Halal-related job scope.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Active team player.
