Job description

Regulatory & Halal Compliance

  1. Assists in ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant MUIS, SFA, HPB regulations and other related agencies.
  2. Renewal and application of group company’s licensing.
  3. Monitors and analyzes changes in regulations and their impact on the company's business.
  4. Checks the compliance of import and export.
  5. Supports Company New Product Development (NPD) projects (Internally or Externally).
  6. Responsible for the review and approval of artwork/label (New and Renovation) in accordance with relevant country regulations and customer requirements.
  7. Responsible for the review and approval of raw material and formulation in accordance with relevant country regulations and customer requirements.
  8. Develops and implements compliance procedures and policies.
  9. Conducts regular checks, internal audits, and reviews to identify and address any compliance risks.
  10. Issues product defect notifications for any new incoming, old stocks, or any non-compliance products.
  11. Prepares and submits regulatory reports to MUIS and SFA as required.
  12. Provides training to employees on MUIS and SFA regulations as required.
  13. Represents the company in its dealings with MUIS, SFA, and HPB.
  14. Provides advice and guidance on MUIS, SFA, and HPB regulations.
  15. Stays up-to-date on all relevant MUIS, SFA, and HPB regulations.
  16. Oversees the company's compliance program.
  17. Ensures that the company is meeting all of its regulatory obligations.
  18. Reports to senior management on the company's compliance status.
  19. Assists with product registration as needed.
  20. Ensures the renewal of facility license and halal certification is done.
  21. Liaises with purchasing and assists R&D in raw material selection according to regulatory compliance.
  22. Attends Halal courses and training if required.
  23. Follows GMP, quality, and safety practices.
  24. Performs any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Entry-level candidates with a background in Food Science, Technology, Quality, or Singapore MUIS Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ) certified are welcome to apply.
  2. Candidates with Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) certification will be preferred.
  3. Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in handling Halal-related job scope.
  4. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Active team player.
