Regulatory Affairs Executive, APAC

This role primarily responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of raw materials, formulations and finished goods. It involves utilizing internal systems and processes to maintain efficient and accurate documentation, enabling timely responses to customer requests. The position also manages Halal and Kosher certifications as well as other documentation and certifications required by food regulatory agencies.


The Position:

  • Assess raw material regulatory compliance and provide timely approval on new raw material or alternate suppliers

  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain complete raw material information and relevant regulatory certificates

  • Work with APAC Procurement team and Global Raw Material Approval team to ensure timely complete approval of new materials raised within the APAC region

  • Verify regulatory data in the SAP system with respect to approved vendor information

  • Manage APAC Material Change Process and support other Symrise regions in raising Material Change Requests

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of the Material Change Process

  • Proactively identify and address data gaps in the system by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Support and execute special projects as assigned by the supervisor

  • Ensure the Halal system is audit-ready and support the halal application process

  • Work with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to deliver necessary export certifications including Health Certificates and Free Sale Certificates.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or relevant field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Quality within the flavor, food, pharmaceutical or related industries.

  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken

  • Strong critical thinking and quick learning capabilities

  • Ability to understand and interpret relevant regulations and industry standards

  • Detail-oriented, diligent, responsible and reliable

  • Proven team player with a consistent track record of collaboration and support

  • Self-motivated and committed to meeting deadlines

  • Skilled in managing and prioritising multiple time-sensitive tasks effectively.
