Overall Purpose of The Job: The Regional Vessel Financial Controller will be a key member of the vessel financial operation for Shipmanagement ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the core financial statements that are sent to our clients.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Management responsibilities of Vessel Financial Controllers (VFCs) across geographies.
- Driving improvements to the financial reporting to our clients including accuracy, timeliness, variance reporting and forecasting.
- Developing a business partnering approach for the VFCs within the Fleet Cell.
- Drive improvements in reducing financial risk in vessel accounting.
- Monitoring adherence to the Group’s payment priorities Standard Operating Procedure.
- Participating in ShipSure vessel accounting relating development projects.
- Work with the Group Controlling team on all client audit related issues.
- Assisting in the development of financial operational strategies.
- Build strong relationships and trust with financial stakeholders.
- Work closely with the GSS Vessel Accounting leadership team.
- Developing the VFCs and Vessel Accounting colleagues through active coaching.
