Job description

This is an great opportunity for candidates who are looking to take on a regional advisory role coupled with tax digitisation projects that this individual will spearhead for the region.

Client Details

My client is a listed company in its field of service with strong international operations and have grown over the years through organic expansions and acquisitions. They are currently looking for a Regional Tax Manager to support the APAC tax advisory work and champion the digitisation project for the region.

Description

You will play an instrumental role in partnering with various country finance teams in APAC, functional heads as well as global tax teams in providing tax advice with an aim to minimise tax exposure and drive synergies with corporate strategies. You will facilitate transfer pricing compliance matters and work with individual countries with regards to transfer pricing matters. You will evaluate projects in acquisition/divestment or re-organising and perform tax due diligence work. You will play a key role in advising stakeholders on tax structuring and incentives to optimise tax positions. You will review tax reporting by individual country finance leads and provide tax analysis in a timely manner. This role will also have opportunities to drive global projects in the tax digitisation project in automating dashboards as well as implementing new policies and procedures.

Profile

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• Accounting Degree or equivalent with more than 6 years of tax experience ideally with a mix of Big 4 and commercial tax experience with an established MNC.
• Strong track records in managing projects / advisory work in a regional capacity will be of great advantage
• Confident, strong communication and presentation skills; culturally sensitive to work with counterparts in different geographical locations
• Self-starter and motivated individual with a "can-do" attitude and thrives well in a matrix environment
• Hands-on personality, team player and continuously seek for continuous improvements
