Join Applied Materials South East Asia’s Regional Office and gain hands‑on experience supporting projects that connect teams and stakeholders across the region. Working alongside Regional Office colleagues, the intern will contribute to research, presentations, stakeholder activities, project coordination, and process improvement.
The role provides opportunities to gain exposure to corporate strategy & planning, and build practical business skills in a collaborative regional environment.
Any discipline is welcome. We're looking for strong critical thinking, business research ability, communication skills, and a strong altruistic desire to do meaningful work.
Research & Analysis: Gather insights, and develop recommendations to support Regional Office initiatives and decision‑making.
Partnership & Stakeholder Support: Assist with stakeholder engagement activities through meeting preparation, background research, communications, and follow‑up actions.
Projects & Initiatives: Support regional projects by tracking activities, timelines, materials, and outstanding actions.
Briefings & Communications: Prepare presentations, briefing materials, reports, and written updates for different audiences.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, coordination, and reporting through process enhancements or digital solutions.
Required: You may be a good fit if you: Have high agency and a strong sense of ownership – resourceful, don’t wait to be told what to do next. Are intellectually curious and enjoy researching unfamiliar topics. Can frame ambiguous issues into clear slides and written updates. Are dependable, organized, and attentive to detail. Have working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
By the end of the internship, the intern will: Understand how regional projects are developed and delivered. Build practical skills in research, analysis, presentations, and business writing. Gain hands‑on experience supporting project activities from planning through execution. Learn how to communicate and collaborate across different teams. Apply problem‑solving and process‑improvement skills to a practical business challenge.
