Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of relevant sales experience in the engineering industry, demonstrating a proven track record in technical sales and team leadership, coupled with in-depth knowledge of laser and automation technologies, to drive growth and expand our market presence The ideal candidate will be passionate about technical sales, adept at coaching and developing talent, and committed to delivering outstanding results in a highly specialized field.

Responsibilities:-

Sales Strategy, Operations & Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies specifically for laser and automation machine sales to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within the engineering and manufacturing industries.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and adapt sales approaches for technical solutions.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely progression of opportunities for laser and automation projects

Technical Sales & Solutioning:

  • Lead the sales process for complex laser and automation machine solutions, from initial client engagement to contract closure.
  • Understand and articulate the technical value proposition of our products, demonstrating how they address client-specific engineering and production challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with pre-sales engineers, application specialists, and product development teams to design and propose tailored technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing technical sales team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members, enhancing their technical sales capabilities.
  • Foster a positive, results-oriented, and collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their technical needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Participate in key client meetings and negotiations to close significant deals for machine sales.
  • Address and resolve client technical inquiries and complaints effectively, leveraging internal technical support when necessary.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution, technical support, and post-sales service for machine installations.
  • Provide market insights and customer technical feedback to inform product development and marketing initiatives for new machine generations.

Requirements:-

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/ mechanical, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management / sales, preferably in the laser & engineering industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laser systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (50% of time)
  • Fluency in Chinese is a plus
