Job description

Reporting to the CEO, the Regional Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the company within the assigned region. This leadership role will oversee a team of sales professionals, manage relationships with key clients, and ensure the company's products and services are effectively marketed and sold. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the trading industry, strong sales leadership skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth within their region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement the sales strategy in the assigned region to meet or exceed revenue targets and business objectives. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals. Provide regular coaching and performance feedback to enhance team skills and productivity. Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture that aligns with company values and goals.
  • Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders within the region. Negotiate and close complex sales deals with major clients, ensuring long-term business relationships and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts, and report on progress toward regional sales targets. Analyze sales data and KPIs to provide insights into team performance and market opportunities.
  • Market Expansion and Growth: Identify and pursue new market segments and business opportunities within the region. Establish a strong presence in new territories by networking, attending trade shows, and leveraging local market knowledge.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the company’s overall sales strategy.
  • Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Actively seek customer feedback and relay insights to product development and leadership teams to improve offerings. Ensure the region consistently delivers a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
