A multinational financial institution is looking for a Regional Regulatory Counsel to be a part of their APAC Legal, Compliance and Regulatory team in Singapore where you will transform how they help clients' management risk This is an unique opportunity to play a key legal role across the APAC regional while supporting their Singapore operations.
As a Regional Regulatory Counsel, you'll provide legal, governance, and regulatory support across multiple jurisdictions. You'll work closely with local counsel, global teams, and regulators, helping the business stay compliant, forward-looking, and well-governed.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Assistant Company Secretary for the regional holding company.
Partner with country and HQ teams on corporate governance and secretarial matters.
Support regional initiatives, including cross-border outsourcing projects.
Prepare regulatory updates and review legal documents for compliance.
Advise internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal issues.
Maintain internal records for incorporations, liquidations, and board changes.
Singapore Entity Focus:
Support board committees and MAS regulatory engagements.
Track executive appointments/resignations and handle MAS approvals.
Conduct legal gap analyses and stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Ensure statutory and MAS filings are accurate and timely.
Singapore qualified with at least 4 PQE, ideally in private practice or financial services.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are highly preferred.
