A leading company in power systems seeks a Proposal Engineer to manage technical offers and sales support. The role involves reviewing specifications, preparing proposals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in proposal engineering, with a strong focus on customer needs and detail-oriented work.
Technical Offer & Proposal Management
Review transformer/power system specifications and customer RFQs to develop tailored offers for related solutions.
Prepare commercial and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company's standards.
Collaborate with engineering and HQ production teams to validate technical configurations and delivery timelines.
Ensure offers are timely, accurate, and reflect company's value proposition in terms of technology, serviceability, and lifecycle benefits.
Maintain and manage the proposal database, ensuring traceability and version control.
Marketing & Sales Support
Work in tandem with the Account Manager to follow up on open RFQs, update opportunity status, assess proposal competitiveness, and after sales services (maintenance offers, spare parts, trainings).
Provide timely responses to customer clarifications, technical queries, and commercial adjustments during the negotiation phase.
Assist the Marketing Manager in preparing product promotions and tradeshows / exhibitions process.
Work with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, production, and aftersales support to deliver cohesive solutions to customers.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in proposal engineering, value engineering, technical sales support in manufacturing of power equipment, power systems, transformers.
Strong experience in ETO (Engineering-to-Orders) scheme and sales processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook) for reporting, proposal preparation, and communications.
Proactive, structured, independent, and customer-focused.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and marketing audiences.
