Job description

Job Purpose:

To lead and execute capital and improvement projects across multiple chemical manufacturing sites in the region, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and corporate engineering standards. This role serves as the regional subject matter expert for project engineering, working closely with plant teams, HSE, maintenance, and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Engineering & Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution of CAPEX projects (concept to commissioning) across multiple sites in the region.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Coordinate with local site teams, contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
  • Manage project risk, change control, and technical documentation.

Engineering & Technical Leadership

  • Ensure project designs adhere to chemical industry standards , company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide engineering guidance on process improvements, reliability, and mechanical/electrical upgrades.
  • Ensure process safety reviews.

Regional Coordination

  • Standardize engineering practices and documentation across sites.
  • Benchmark performance and share best practices among regional teams.
  • Act as a technical liaison between local plants and global engineering teams.

Budget & Compliance

  • Develop and manage project budgets and ensure accurate cost tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
  • Prepare project justifications and support investment proposals to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 8-12 years of project or engineering experience in the chemical industry.
  • Strong background in managing multi-million-dollar capital projects.
  • Familiarity with process safety and regional regulatory frameworks
