Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers (Southeast Asia) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a senior shipping professional to develop, manage and retain Global Key Account customers, including cargo owners and traders.

You will identify opportunities, oversee negotiations, contracts and follow-ups to expand business across routes and cargo types. In this role you will coordinate with chartering, operations and other departments to ensure execution of client requirements, monitor market trends, and build long-term

Job description

Key responsibilities

1. Develop, manage and maintain long-term relationships with GKA (Global Key Account) customers, including major cargo owners, traders, logistics companies and strategic accounts.

2. Understand customers' cargo volumes, cargo types, trade routes, logistics requirements and transportation plans, and identify business opportunities.

3. Manage customer inquiries, quotations, commercial negotiations, contracts and follow-up activities.

4. Develop new cargo sources and expand business with existing customers.

5. Coordinate with chartering, operations and other relevant departments to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.

6. Monitor customer developments, market trends and competitor activities and provide timely market intelligence.

Functions and accountabilities

1. Accountable for the development and retention of assigned GKA customers, assist in facilitating the signing of long-term COA.

2. Accountable for achieving assigned revenue, cargo volume and business development targets.

3. Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for long-term cooperation.

4. Ensure effective communication between customers and internal commercial and operational teams.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in operating & chartering, in dry bulk, project cargo.


• Bachelor's degree or above in Shipping, Logistics, International Trade, Marketing or a related discipline.


• Good knowledge and experience in dry bulk, project cargo, with a good understanding of major international trade routes, especially in MPP/heavy lift vessel, liquid cargo ship, semi-submersible and car carrier preferred.


• Strong customer relationship management and business development capabilities.


• Strong commercial negotiation and communication skills.


• Existing relationships with major cargo owners, traders or logistics companies will be an advantage.
