Job description

Our client is a branded pharmaceutical MNC. They are looking for an experienced candidate who is an expert in market intelligence & research to collect & analyse competitive developments, healthcare professional and consumer insights across APAC.

Responsibilities

  1. Gather and evaluate relevant market and competitor information to review market position and determine threats and opportunities.
  2. Oversee trends in macroeconomic environment affecting APAC regional business.
  3. Consolidate and validate market data/insights from countries for our quarterly business reviews.
  4. Collaborate with Global Marketing Intelligence and Global Strategic Marketing Teams to conduct Competitive Business Assessment in APAC region for a comprehensive understanding of portfolio, competition, and customer needs.
  5. Regular tracking and timely communication of key updates on product development, launches, and any significant commercial activities within our key competitive set.
  6. In collaboration with the Regional Brand Team, collect, maintain, and analyze competitive pricing across APAC markets.
  7. Monitor brand news through Meltwater or other tracking tools.
  8. Develop and design market research proposals including resource allocation and budget management.
  9. Management of research and insights agencies to ensure oversight over optimization of resources across research projects.
  10. Collaboration with Regional Brand Team to support specific brand-related market researches.
  11. Maintain ownership of regionally commissioned APAC market sizing studies, including market share of all categories and future projections.
  12. Define market research and identify insight gaps and opportunities relating to the business and develop strategies to address those gaps - turning insight into action.
  13. Consolidation with markets on specific market-led researches.
  14. Identify and solidify current and future market trends to prepare the organization and inform APAC Leadership Team and Regional Brand Teams.

Requirements

  1. Over 10 years of experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering market intelligence strategies and plans.
  2. Over 5 years’ experience in conducting market research in Healthcare/Medical Aesthetics/FMCG industry.
  3. Familiarity with competitive landscape and bring new ideas to the table both at the strategic and executional level.
  4. Research agency experience is a plus.
