Job summary

ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) in Singapore seeks a Research Analyst to support the Regional Surveillance Group. You will work with economists on ASEAN+3 regional outlooks, risk assessments, policy analysis and AREO outputs, handling data, research, and analytical templates to strengthen regional macro resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, international finance, public policy, statistics or related fields; postgraduate degree beneficial.
• Strong background in macroeconomics and econometrics with proven research, database and content management experience.
• Familiarity with macroeconomic and financial databases (Bloomberg, CEIC, Haver Analytics, Refinitiv Datastream) and econometric tools (EViews, MATLAB, Stata).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); programming knowledge in Python and R preferred; willingness to learn new tools; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization and database management; strong data quality and analytical communication.
• High English proficiency; collaborative and multicultural teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with economists to produce analytics and research underpinning regional surveillance work.
• Contribute to surveillance knowledge products, including research and thematic studies from data and statistics.
• Maintain and update macroeconomic databases for accuracy and accessibility; develop new databases as needed.
• Enhance templates, dashboards, and analytical resources to stay current and effective.
• Prepare presentation materials to support analytical and policy work.
• Coordinate routine macroeconomic updates with economists and share findings with leadership.
• Contribute to research projects and draft notes on issues relevant to the work program.
• Support broader institutional and operational AMRO initiatives.
