Job summary

MICHAEL PAGE INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD is seeking a Regional Legal Lead to support ASEAN operations, providing practical, commercially-focused legal guidance across the business. You will draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements and advise on regulatory, data privacy and compliance matters, balancing risk with growth.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years post-qualification experience, strong cross-border contract experience, and the ability to influence senior leadership in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a common law jurisdiction.
• Over 10 years of post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house roles.
• Experience supporting business operations across multiple ASEAN jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating commercial, technology and licensing agreements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor supporting business operations across multiple ASEAN markets.
• Provide commercially focused legal guidance to senior stakeholders and leaders.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, technology, software, licensing and supplier agreements.
• Advise on regulatory, employment, compliance, IP, data privacy and emerging tech matters.
• Support legal risk management and governance across regional operations.
• Develop and deliver legal, compliance and governance training for internal stakeholders.
• Partner with global legal teams on cross-border projects and strategic initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Legal Counsel' should have:

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a common law jurisdiction
• Over 10 years of post-qualification experience gained across private practice and/or in-house environments
• Strong experience supporting business operations across multiple ASEAN jurisdictions
• Proven track record in commercial contract drafting, negotiation and legal advisory work
• Experience advising on technology, software, data privacy, compliance and regulatory matters
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and business growth
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership teams
• Experience working within multinational organisations and complex cross-border environments
