Job summary

PerkinElmer Scientific (Singapore) PTE. LTD. seeks a player-coach Lean Transformation Leader to govern a multi-site program across China, Malaysia, and Singapore.

You will own the multi-year roadmap, drive governance, and develop three site Lean Practitioners, while serving as the region’s TPS authority. Based in Singapore with regular travel to plants, you’ll lead cross-site improvement initiatives, standardize lean practices, and report savings and maturity to the VP Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years manufacturing ops experience with 5+ years in lean leadership.
• Certified Master Black Belt, Lean Master or equivalent.
• Experience training and certifying Green Belts and Yellow Belts.
• People leadership across multi-site teams.
• Fluent business English.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year lean transformation roadmap for three plants.
• Run program governance: monthly steering reviews and quarterly reviews with executives.
• Directly manage and develop three site-based Lean Practitioners.
• Own the regional lean methodology standard: VSM, kaizen, standard work, 5S, TPM, heijunka.
• Lead complex cross-site improvement initiatives (yield, cycle-time, changeover).
• Design and deploy tiered daily management and coach leaders in its use.
• Build site capability: train and certify Green/Yellow Belts; belt development plan.
• Establish project selection process with baseline, target, owner, timeline, and benefits.
• Standardize improvements across sites (yokoten) and maintain best-practice library.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and NPI to extend lean thinking.
• Report metrics: savings, throughput, certifications, daily management maturity.
