Regional IT and Cloud Specialist (APAC) | Yearly renewable contract | Up to $8k

Job Description: As the Regional IT and Cloud specialist, you will be responsible for the management and administration of our APAC hybrid infrastructure, which includes both cloud and on-premises environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our infrastructure across multiple platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in administering hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AliCloud) and on-premises technologies.
• Solid experience in supporting Windows and Linux servers.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Git, Bash, Terraform, Python, PowerShell) for infrastructure management tasks.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and DNS.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to infrastructure components.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining security measures in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and maintain hybrid cloud architectures, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems.
• Monitor and optimize the cost and performance of cloud infrastructure, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.
• Work closely with vendors and service providers to effectively manage the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and resolving any issues or escalations.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes and upgrades while minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Collaborate closely with Central and Local IT teams on projects, DR, and business continuity plans for the infrastructure.
• Assist in infrastructure projects within the region – task tracking and provide management status updates.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and propose and implement improvements accordingly.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on infrastructure-related matters.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including infrastructure architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
