Our client is a fast-growing tech startup headquartered in Asia, building scalable digital solutions across sectors such as AI, cloud, and software services. With aggressive growth plans in Greater China and Asia, they are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional HR Manager to lead HR operations and strategy in mainland China. This individual will play a key role in supporting business growth by driving HR initiatives that enhance talent acquisition, engagement, compliance, and organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead HR business partner for the China region, supporting key business leaders and functional heads.
  • Oversee end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work closely with global and regional HR counterparts to align HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and team development programs across China offices.
  • Manage workforce planning and advise on organization structure as the company scales.
  • Lead talent acquisition for regional hires and support employer branding efforts in China.
  • Implement and manage HR systems and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or regional HR role.
  • Prior experience working in a tech startup or high-growth digital company is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of China labor law, HR practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience across the HR spectrum—especially in talent acquisition, engagement, and performance management.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and adapt quickly in a startup environment.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
