A world-renowned Fortune 500 company in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Regional Head of Cyber Security Engineering & SecOps to lead its cybersecurity functions across Asia. This role will report directly to the Global CISO and is pivotal in shaping the regional cybersecurity strategy. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership and a proven track record of developing effective security teams.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, 8+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Experience building cybersecurity teams/functions from the ground up.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.

Job description

A world-renowned Fortune 500 company with over 50 years of global success is expanding its cybersecurity leadership team in Asia. With strong regional operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand, they are now hiring a Regional Head of Cyber Security Engineering & SecOps.
This newly created role sits within the global cybersecurity leadership structure, reporting directly to the Global CISO, and will spearhead the regional strategy and growth of cybersecurity functions across Asia.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, and has successfully built and led security functions in complex, global organisations.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a senior team of engineers and managers.

  • Build a high-performing cybersecurity engineering and operations function in Asia.

Security Capabilities & Risk Management

  • Design and implement regional cybersecurity strategies and solutions.

  • Oversee security operations, threat detection, incident response, and engineering.

Policy, Standards & Governance

  • Localise and enforce global policies; ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements.

  • Strengthen GRC practices across the region.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Collaborate with global business leaders and board-level stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity, risk, disaster recovery, and data privacy.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 8+ years in senior leadership roles.

  • Proven experience building and scaling cybersecurity teams/functions from the ground up.

  • Strong cross-domain expertise: Cybersecurity Engineering, SecOps, Architecture, GRC.

  • Deep knowledge across IAM, security operations, incident response, and compliance.

  • Confident, hands-on leader able to operate at both strategic and execution levels.

  • Holds certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.

  • Effective communicator with experience working across global stakeholder groups.
