About the team you are joining
IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, FP&A, Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement activities.
Join our Corporate Services division to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition that we have set ourselves as a division is to “Be the trusted proactive partner, providing data-driven and AI- enabled corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards.”
What your day would be like
The Regional Head of Corporate Services, Asia Pacific plays a key leadership role in overseeing the corporate service functions across Asia Pacific. This position manages a team of twelve, including four direct reports.
In this role you will lead and drive the following key activities:
- Drive efficiency, speed and agility in delivering high-value services across Asia Pacific.
- Support the new Global Finance Operations Director in driving consistency across regions.
- Oversee regional financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, audits, tax, and cash flow management, ensuring timely closings and full adherence to global standards and regulatory requirements
- Champion continuous improvement via the CIP framework to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and embed best practices in collaboration with regional and global finance stakeholders.
- Build strong, trusted partnerships with regional business leaders, providing expert financial analysis and offering proactive corporate service guidance and performance oversight.
- Build strong partnership with the CS corporate teams (Corporate Finance, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Tax, Corporate FP&A, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement).
- Leverage digital tools and data analytics to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.
- Support the Senior Manager, Finance Business Process on the ERP transformation initiative (BORA) by ensuring that business process requirements are accurately captured and reflected in the system’s technical architecture (where applicable).
- Drive change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
We would love to hear from you if
- Over 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably with Regional Corporate Services exposure.
- Possess a professional accounting certification (Chartered Accountant or CPA), with a university degree in finance or accounting being an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecast and audit processes.
- Experience leading finance teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate with senior leaders and provide proactive financial insights that influence decision-making
- Fluent in written and spoken English is essential, whilst knowledge of other regional languages would be a distinct advantage.
