Regional Finance Manager

Our client who is a globally renowned sportswear brand, best known for its high-performance athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories are seeking an experienced Regional Finance Manager to oversee and drive the financial strategy in the region.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic finance professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and is passionate about building efficient processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth through financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the full spectrum of financial functions across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.)
2. Consolidate and analyze financial results, forecasts, and budgets for reporting to senior management and HQ
3. Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with local regulations and internal policies
4. Oversee statutory audits, tax filings, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities
5. Partner with cross-functional teams to support business decisions through financial modelling and strategic analysis
6. Monitor cash flow, manage treasury operations, and optimize working capital
7. Drive process improvements and enhance financial systems and internal controls
8. Manage and mentor finance team members in regional offices
9. Collaborate closely with the HQ Finance team to align reporting and operational practices

Key Requirements:

1. Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA / ACCA qualification preferred
2. Minimum 8–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a regional or managerial capacity
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/local GAAP), tax regulations, and statutory compliance across SEA markets
4. Prior experience in retail, fashion, FMCG, or related industries is a strong advantage
5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
7. Business-level English is required; Japanese language proficiency is a plus (to liaise with HQ in Japan)
8. Able to work independently in a fast-paced, growing regional setup
9. Willing to travel within the region when required
