Regional Finance Director

What this job involves:
The Regional Finance Director is a member of the Regional Leadership team for the Client Account and is responsible for managing effective forecast, reporting and analytics, and budget management in line with contractual requirements for client JLL. The role is critical to the success of the Client relationship through driving informative decisions based on the current spend plan, navigating through Client priorities, market conditions, and strategic business plans. The expectation from the role is continuous process improvement, innovation through fact-based decision-making, and driving cost efficiencies. This position provides an opportunity to work with a broad range of areas related to a regional real estate portfolio, including facility management and building operations, transaction management, project management, and real estate portfolio planning to ensure the delivery of Client and JLL goals regionally.

Accountable for the successful delivery of a comprehensive range of financial services & support as defined in the contract:

  1. Monitor and ensure efficient use of resources that contribute to the Jones Lang LaSalle revenue and profit targets.
  2. Support through the team delivery of day-to-day regional financial and accounting operations with a particular focus on the client’s reporting requirements at a regional level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Direction

  1. As a member of the Regional Leadership team, provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the Leadership & extended leadership team.
  2. Act as primary liaison with the Client’s Finance teams.
  3. Actively look for innovations within your area of responsibilities to add value to the client and the JLL business.

Client Relationship Management

  1. Proactively develop and manage client/business unit relationships ensuring that the expected services are delivered across regions consistent with the contractual scope of services and within budgets.
  2. Work with the client and jointly manage the total cost and drive savings opportunities on the uncovered scope.
  3. Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, functional integration, financial transparency, cooperation & performance excellence across the region.

Team Management

  1. Manage a team, providing effective strategic leadership and coaching and mentoring the team.
  2. Ensure the team is structured to maintain & exceed the client’s financial expectations.
  3. Act as manager and coach for the team ensuring high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals, and performance reviews.
  4. Develop annual objectives and succession plans for all roles in the regional finance team, process mapping, and efficiency analysis.
  5. Promote a culture of teamwork and collaborate across other functional verticals within the firm in adopting/sharing best practices.

Financial Planning and Analysis (Client and Corporate JLL)

  1. Oversee and coordinate the activities of the team with respect to the annual budget setting and quarterly forecasting cycle.
  2. Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Client’s accounting structure and associated systems. Translate that knowledge to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of financial data.
  4. Develop, maintain & deliver in a timely manner, the Client’s approved financial formats across the region.
  5. Coordinate, manage, and track spend within business lines and ensure all cost savings initiatives/commitments as per contractual obligation, together with benchmarking and implementing best practices.
  6. Accountable for consolidating the Jones Lang LaSalle regional annual profitability plan and subsequent forecasts.
  7. Review capital plan proposals and ensure activities are aligned with Clients’ Capex Policies.

Invoice Payment & Processing

  1. Ensure the country teams are effectively managing: Processing and payment of all property operating expenditure invoices, in accordance with legal obligations.
  2. Accountable for the timely coordination of the Jones Lang LaSalle invoice processing and monitoring the accounts receivable.
  3. Work with the team/Shared Service Centre and operations team to meet client deliverables.

Controls & Compliance; Policies & Procedures & Audit:

  1. Ensure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions.
  2. Develop and maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial & support services associated with the account. Manage teams with a focus on policy and strategy implementation and control.
  3. Ensure data integrity of the systems across the region and audit data from time to time.
  4. Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit-worthy and in keeping with recognized quality management processes.

Business case modeling and solutioning

  1. Identify revenue opportunities by offering value-added services to the client.
  2. Perform financial evaluation and decision-making for new business proposals.
  3. Support new contact implementation, transition due diligence in validation and justification of contractual baseline obligations.

  1. Annual budget delivery.
  2. Quarterly forecast accuracy.
  3. New contract implementation.
  4. Savings generation.
  5. JLL profitability.
  6. Client satisfaction scores.
  7. Audit compliance.

  6. Client management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and enhanced customer service. Demonstrated strength in client relationship management skills.
  7. Self-motivated, objectives focused, confident, and energetic.
  8. Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, and independence.
  9. Promotes open, constructive, and collaborative relations at all levels.

Experience:
  1. Extensive work experience in the Finance Function including prior multi-country experience.
  2. Experience of working across a regional organization.
  3. In-depth understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements and governance principles/SOX.
  4. Business partnering and commercial finance experience.

Qualifications:
  1. CPA, MBA, Masters or other Finance/Business qualification.
  2. Accountancy Qualification.
