In Cognita Asia, we have a robust regional team that supports our schools. The team is based in Singapore and provides centralized support across various functions. About the Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic leader to develop and lead Cognita’s Enrichment portfolio of educational experiences beyond the classroom. This role will design and execute a high-impact, multi-market strategy to deliver enrichment programs, tuition, extracurricular activities, and family learning across our network of international schools in Asia. The Director will build the business from the ground up—leveraging on successful existing enrichment offers and holiday camps managed within/by Cognita, launch a few new pilots across Asia and expanding across the region—with the aim of enhancing student learning, fostering community engagement, and increasing the differentiating value of being part of the Cognita network.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
  • Define and implement the strategic vision for Cognita’s Enrichment portfolio across Cognita Asia’s K-12 schools.
  • Develop a scalable business model that complements each school’s academic and extracurricular strengths.
  • Establish a distinctive brand aligned with Cognita’s values of academic excellence, wellbeing, and global citizenship.
Program Development & Operations
  • Design and oversee a portfolio of enrichment offerings, including:
  • Holiday camps (e.g., Camp Asia)
  • Academic tuition / extended learning / enrichment programs (after‑school, weekend)
  • Sports Coaching (after school, weekend)
  • Elite sporting programs
  • Extracurricular programs
  • Parent education and language learning (where feasible)
  • Ensure programs are high quality, inclusive, curriculum‑aligned, and sustainable.
  • Build operational infrastructure and protocols for safety, quality assurance, scheduling, and facility usage.
Business Development & Partnerships
  • Identify and manage relationships with expert educators, enrichment providers, and activity partners.
  • Collaborate with school leadership teams to tailor offerings to local contexts while maintaining regional consistency.
  • Leverage internal and external capabilities to enhance delivery and scalability.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion, with full accountability for theP&L of the enrichment business vertical across Asia.
Marketing & Engagement
  • Partner with school/country/regional Marketing & Admissions teams to drive awareness, enrolment, and brand alignment.
  • Develop targeted communications strategies to reach families with compelling, relevant offers.
  • Monitor parent satisfaction and feedback to continuously improve the experience.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, build and lead a high‑performing team responsible for regional and local delivery.
  • Unleash the talent in each team member by providing direction, support, empowerment and mentorship.
  • Drive a culture of cross‑function/school/country collaboration where the team exemplifies the power of aiming for and delivering on common goals through co‑creation and continuous alignment.
  • Lead by example to create a value‑based culture in line with the company’s values.
Governance
  • Establish performance KPIs and reporting systems
  • Perform regular analytics to analyse risks and opportunities in pipeline management, capacity, unmet demand, additional revenue
  • Collaborate with school leadership and regional support functions to ensure alignment with school priorities
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to ensure sustainable operations and profitability

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.

Position Requirements
  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role in education, enrichment, camps, EdTech, or a related service sector
  • Proven experience in launching and scaling educational products or services
  • Familiarity with K–12 international school environments, ideally in Asia
  • Experience managing multi‑market operations and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong strategic thinking and business planning capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and lead innovation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in customer experience, or marketing roles.
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus.
