SMBC Group in Singapore is seeking a Regional Credit Auditor/Reviewer within IADAP to strengthen end-to-end credit processes across Asia Pacific. The role combines internal audit assurance with credit review, requiring close collaboration with audit counterparts and business units.

You will lead risk-based audits, assess control design, evaluate credit risk, and apply data analytics to support audit conclusions, while traveling regionally to support audit coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent is required.
• 7–10 years in banking with exposure in front office credit risk analysis and/or credit approval and/or credit risk management.
• Professional certification such as CIA/CPA/CA is preferred.
• Demonstrated risk-based audit approach and ability to draft clear audit reports and recommendations.
• Strong credit risk analysis and financial analysis skills, with knowledge of credit rating models for large corporate clients.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
• Experience with data analytics to support audit/credit portfolio assessment is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Lead and/or execute risk-based audits and credit review activities across end-to-end credit processes.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls within credit risk management.
• Provide independent credit risk evaluation on the bank’s credit assets across various exposures.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide practical recommendations to strengthen credit risk management and internal controls.
• Apply data analytics to support audit assessments of the internal control environment and credit portfolio.
• Establish and develop good working relationships with Management of assigned Business Units to support risk assessment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with group company audit teams, especially in the credit-related area.
• Participate in the department’s strategic initiatives and projects as opportunities arise.
