Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is looking for a finance controlling professional to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in the APAC region. This role involves building a regional structure for financial practices in alignment with strategic goals, while ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in controlling, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and possess advanced business intelligence skills.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience in group or area Controlling, with 3-5 years in a team lead role.
• Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash management, planning, and stock management.
• Master's degree in relevant fields is required.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of regional Controlling structure: budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Responsible for local finance divisions and controlling regional P&Ls and reporting.
• Act as a commercial coach supporting strategic planning and decision-making.

Job description

Ensures the set up of Controlling, planning and reporting structures to enable profitable growth in line with financial targets and KPIs in the Sales Region APAC. This includes the implementation of all standard Controlling and Finance tools and reports in the Sales Region APAC with full responsibility of the Controlling over all subsidiaries in the region.

• Implementation of a regional Controlling structure: financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting structures in alignment with the strategies aligned with overall strategic goals and further improvements

• Responsible for the local finance divisions and controlling of the regional P&Ls, planning scenarios, forecast and reporting to ensure consistency and alignment of financial practices and policies

• Set up of group-wide standardized KPIs and transparency about turnover, margins & profitability development with future scenario analysis

• Act as commercial coach and strategic thinker and supports the strategic planning as well as decision making process

• Collaborate closely with strategic sales departments and set up of a performance monitoring

• Supports consolidation and planning of the regional profit & loss statement

• Responsible for the initial set up of reporting to the management including KPIs and trend scenarios

• Prepares an internal control system to safeguard company’s assets and ensure of financial records, arranges regular reviews and status meetings

• Support to ensure compliance with local, states and financial regulations & standards in cooperation with the local financial department

Requirements:

• Master/University degree in International Business, Controlling, Finance or Economy

• 7 - 10 yrs. experience in group or area Controlling with 3-5 years in a team lead role Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash management, planning, stock management

• Knowledge in using EPR e.g. Business Central, Navision, SAP

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI)
