Job description

Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager

Join a leading global luxury retail brand and play a pivotal role in shaping the Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and HR Operations strategies across the Asia Pacific region. This role is responsible for driving excellence in compensation programs, ensuring compliance with market regulations, and enhancing employee experience through best-in-class HR operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

  • Lead and manage C&B initiatives across APAC, including annual budgeting, salary benchmarking, bonus and increment cycles, and variable pay programs.
  • Review and enhance the retail incentive/commission schemes to ensure alignment with business goals and market competitiveness.
  • Partner with local HR Business Partners to manage annual compensation cycles and ensure timely validation with Group and HQ stakeholders.
  • Design and validate salary offers and expatriate packages within organizational parameters.

Data & Budget Management

  • Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts in collaboration with market HR, regional C&B, and Business Planning & Control (BPC) teams.
  • Manage and interpret data from internal and external compensation surveys to provide actionable insights and market recommendations.

Benefits Administration & Payroll

  • Oversee benefit programs including insurance, staff discounts, and employee privileges across the region.
  • Lead the payroll process through external vendors, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations including taxation and government funds.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for HR-related audits and reporting.

HR Operations & Governance

  • Ensure HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks remain current and compliant with local labor regulations across the region.
  • Lead HRIS governance and system maintenance to ensure data integrity, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Manage and review regular HR reports for submission to APAC and Global HQ.

Process Optimization & Legal Compliance

  • Continuously review and enhance C&B and HR operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Lead foreign workforce matters including work visa applications, mobility support, and relocation arrangements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key point of contact for Group and HQ C&B initiatives and support regional implementation of global projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR operations with strategic business priorities.
Qualifications & Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in C&B and HR Operations, preferably within the luxury retail or consumer goods sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HR systems and Excel; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, labor regulations, and payroll operations across key APAC markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a passion for driving HR excellence.
