Regional Chief Information Security Officer

Our client, a Fortune 500 company with a strong presence across Asia, is expanding its cybersecurity capabilities and hiring a Regional CISO to lead security efforts in the region. This newly created role reports to the Global Head of Information Security and suits a senior cybersecurity leader with deep technical expertise and experience building security functions in complex global organisations.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Building

• Head and mentor a high-performing team of senior managers and engineers.

• Foster a culture of innovation, resilience, and continuous development.

Security Strategy & Risk Management

• Define and implement robust regional cybersecurity strategies.

• Enhance security posture through advanced technologies, streamlined processes, and top talent.

Policy Implementation

• Translate global policies into regionally relevant actions.

• Ensure alignment with internal standards, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

• Advise global senior leadership on key security risks and mitigation strategies.

• Act as a regional expert on data privacy, disaster recovery, and operational security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 8+ years in senior leadership (CISO level).

• Proven track record of building cybersecurity functions from scratch.

• Strong technical acumen across Security Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Risk & Compliance.

• Effective communicator with global stakeholder management experience.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH.
