About the job Regional Business System Specialist


As the Regional Business Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and efficiency of business operations by developing and managing an optimal business systems ecosystem thatsupports all areas of operations, including warehouse, logistics, finance, customer service, and procurement.

You will establish strong partnerships with key technology providers (such as Infor, Slim4, etc.), leveraging their expertise to enhance the operating platform. Additionally, you will play a strategic role in shaping the future of the business by working with leadership to identify functional gaps, prioritize projects, and drive operational improvements.

This role requires both technical expertise and business acumen, as you will lead initiatives to develop solutions, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with regional and group policies. You will also act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all business applications, providing first-level support and facilitating training to empower employees at all levels.

The Challenges

Business Systems Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and lead the business systems strategy to align with company objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of business operating systems that support all functional areas.
  • Build strong relationships with technology partners and maximize their capabilities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all operational system queries related to business applications.
  • Act as the SME for all business applications, ensuring system functionality and optimization.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the business systems team.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to support decision-making and risk identification.
  • Ensure compliance with regional and group policies, overseeing both internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish a technical vision and assess trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Align operational improvement initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.

Training & Support

  • Develop training materials and support Heads of Departments (HODs) in creating Work Instructions, translating system capabilities into operational SOPs.
  • Facilitate training for new employees, new functionality in different applications, and new business processes.
  • Provide first-level business application support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee the delivery of technical training, including systems, operations, and policies, while providing mentoring support.

Strategic Planning & Project Management

  • Contribute to current-year business results while shaping future strategy by working with leadership to define plans that close functional gaps.
  • Select and prioritize projects that drive business growth and system optimization.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguity and complex challenges.

What It Takes

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity.
