Regional Area Sales Manager (Emerging Markets, Sanitary Wares, Kitchen Fitting)
Company Info: Germany-based MNC specializing in high-end sanitary wares and kitchen fittings. Located within walking distance from Fort Canning MRT. Offers a 5-day work week, up to $9,000 basic salary plus transport allowance, 13th month bonus, additional bonuses, and permanent staff benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Managing Director, SEA, overseeing sales and market development across Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Brunei, and Laos.
- Develop and achieve sales targets by planning, executing, and improving sales and market development strategies.
- Lead a sales team comprising 9 country heads and sales representatives to meet company goals.
- Contribute strategically as part of the management team, researching and managing market campaigns.
- Strengthen the company's position in luxury and premium segments, with sustainable entry into middle and lower segments.
- Plan mid- to long-term market development strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Maintain and grow key accounts and market share in project segments.
- Support and strengthen the local dealer network to sustain market leadership.
- Ensure high retail standards and increase retail sales market share.
- Foster loyalty with trade partners through obligations and benefits programs.
- Develop key project accounts to secure B2B loyalty and expand market share.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients across channels.
- Coordinate with marketing to optimize resource use for sales growth.
- Systematically grow sales, penetrate existing clients, and expand into new categories, maintaining price and quality standards.
- Conduct market and competitor research; generate sales forecasts and reports.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to local sales teams.
- Train and update trade partners on products and presentations, including seminars for project customers.
- Stay informed about competitors’ products and market trends and respond proactively.
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members to ensure a top-performing sales and market development function.
- Implement effective HR practices to develop and retain staff, contributing to overall HR excellence.
- Focus on goal achievement, solution creation, execution, and accountability.
- Perform any other sales-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10 years of regional sales experience, preferably in sanitary ware, construction sales, or building materials, with leadership roles in emerging markets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Skills in teamwork, detail orientation, prioritization, and change management.
- Strong understanding of sales forecasting, regional sales analysis.
- Results-driven with strategic and hands-on execution capabilities.
- Good business acumen and key account management skills.
