Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Regional Accountant based in Singapore to oversee accounting and finance operations in Vietnam during a team member’s medical leave. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations and manage financial reporting. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the Vietnam entity.

• Review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and tax filings prepared by the outsourced firm.
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards and local tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits related to the Vietnam entity.

Location: Tai Seng

Duration: Fixed-Term (3 Months extendable to 6 months)

Working Hours: 8.30am to 6pm

Salary: Up to $6000

Job Responsibilities:

Regional Accountant to oversee the Vietnam accounting and finance operations during a team member’s medical leave. This is a contract role based in Singapore, with responsibility for managing the relationship and deliverables of a local outsourced accounting firm in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and support regional reporting requirements.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the Vietnam entity.
• Manage and coordinate with the local outsourced accounting firm to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and tax filings prepared by the outsourced firm.
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards and local tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits related to the Vietnam entity.
• Collaborate with local Vietnam team to support and furnish financial data.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Vietnam operations.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as needed.
• Review and validate monthly employee claim expense reports prepared by outsourced service providers, ensuring compliance with global and local travel and expense policies for Vietnam entity.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with regional exposure.
