Our client, a prestigious and well-established Buy-side Investment Firm, is looking to hire a senior Security Master / Reference Data VP/SVP to join their global operations team. This is a high-impact role at the core of the firm’s data infrastructure, with broad exposure to front, middle, and back-office stakeholders. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional who brings deep experience in reference data operations, strong knowledge of financial instruments, and the ability to manage both people and processes in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (front, middle, back office) and external data vendors regarding reference data issues.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and handle escalations professionally and promptly.
• Ensure the accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities within the global security master.
• Oversee daily data quality control checks through system and business-level validations.
• Monitor corporate actions and market events to proactively manage impacts and ensure seamless downstream processing.
• Partner with technology teams to define and implement new processes, workflows, and data enhancements.
• Drive the ongoing improvement and stability of the firm’s reference data environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 10-15years of experience in financial services, ideally in a buy-side or broker-dealer operations environment.
• Deep expertise in Security Master / Reference Data and a strong understanding of operational best practices.
• Familiarity with a wide range of asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
• Experience working with major data vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S&P Global), ICE, etc.
• Skilled in basic SQL queries and Excel.
• A proactive, self-directed problem solver with a strong ownership mindset.
