A government organization seeks a part-time Records Management Officer for a 6-month contract. You will support the Records Management & General Insurance team with tasks involving file disposal, stocktaking, and compliance with records handling protocols. Applicants should have at least an 'N' level qualification and strong organizational skills.
Job Title: Records Management Officer (6-months contract)
Work Location: Sentosa Development Corporation office / Offsite (Contractor’s office)
Engagement Period: 6 months (July 2025 to December 2025)
Job Description:
You will be supporting the Records Management & General Insurance (RGI) team in Records Management. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the secure and efficient disposal of physical files and the timely stocktaking of files and records.
You will work closely with RGI officers and undertake the following tasks:
• Verify files identified for destruction against an approved list by checking the existence of each file in the carton against the Masterlist.
• Retrieve files from departments or the offsite warehouse.
• Repack files and prepare cartons for disposal and stocktaking of files.
• Maintain and update the Masterlist and track the logs and file inventory accurately.
• Track each disposed file; File the disposed certificate for each disposed file; Witness and verify the destruction of the files. To ensure compliance with records handling protocols and confidentiality standard.
• Assist with other related records management tasks as assigned, which may include file cataloguing, metadata validation, or support for ongoing digitisation or retention reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications/Skills requirement:
• Minimum “N” level. Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling physical files in boxes and working in a warehouse environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets to do file inventory and tracking.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with RGI officers.
• Able to commit to the full assignment period (Mon to Fri/ Office hours)
Experience requirement:
• Experience in records management or administrative work.
• Familiarity with government records retention guidelines. (e.g. IM4L)
