Job Description

  • Main Duty - Customer Service Duty (mindset has to meet the realistic challenges and demands of a Primary School setting)
  • Answer phone calls, manage visitors, take messages, respond to enquiries, and provide general useful information in a dynamic environment with high call volume.
  • Use school-implemented IT systems for administrative purposes.
  • Handle daily varied demands and queries from parents, students, vendors, and staff.
  • Call pupils who are absent and check with parents on their child's status every morning.
  • Call pupils to convey messages during ad-hoc or special events.
  • Provide first-level assistance to walk-in pupils, including handling sick or injured pupils, and escalate cases beyond superficial issues to colleagues.
  • Assist with situations such as pupils vomiting or soiling their clothes.

General Duties

  • Assist in canteen matters, utility tasks, FAS applications, arrears fee, bus bookings, etc.
  • Update the school activity notice board in the office, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Maintain the forms cabinet, keeping all forms current and replenished.
  • Assist with general typing duties.
  • Manage store supplies during school holidays.
  • Support other administrative duties as required.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Full GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certificate or equivalent.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for reception duties, preferably in a school environment.
  • Good team player with a high level of initiative.
