Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH in Singapore is seeking a Real World Evidence (RWE) Manager to lead evidence-generation across ASEAN, South Korea, and New Zealand, aligning science, business and patient priorities. You will coordinate RWE projects (NIS, NTA, IIS, ECR) and ensure timely planning, execution, reporting and disclosure.

You will collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access and external partners, manage budgets and timelines, oversee CROs and vendors, and drive governance and quality

Qualifications

• Relevant degree(s) in epidemiology, health economics/outcomes research, medicine or life sciences.
• At least 3 years of Real World Evidence work experience in pharma.
• Knowledge of RWE design, execution and reporting.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration across regions.

Job description

The Real World Evidence (RWE) Manager connect rigorous science, business and patient priorities, generating evidence that changes decisions and improves patient outcomes across diverse markets. It supports the Medical Affairs and Market Access teams by coordinating the operational aspects of RWE projects and processes, including the development, conduct, reporting and disclosure of these activities (e.g. NIS, NTA, ECR). This position will contribute to improved oversight and process adherence for RWE activities, enhanced collaboration both cross-functionally/cross-regionally and between the company and external collaborators, and the generation of high-quality RWE to inform internal and external decision making. It is in charge of leading the gap analysis process regionally and integrated evidence, as well as overseeing all RWE initiatives within ASEAN, South Korea, and New Zealand (ASKAN) region.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Manage Real World Evidence (RWE) projects, including Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), Non-Trial Activities (NTA), Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), External Collaborative Research (ECR), digital initiatives, and other evidence-generation activities.
• Provide project, process, and system management support throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and approval through execution, reporting, publication, and disclosure.
• Maintain projects in relevant systems such as CTMS, eCTMF, external funding platforms, and NTA systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure all RWE activities comply with local and global regulations, SOPs, business practices, safety reporting, and transparency requirements.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables, ensuring clear stakeholder alignment and communication.
• Support engagements with external experts, healthcare professionals (HCPs), CROs, and research partners, including CRO selection, contracting, and vendor oversight.
• Act as the primary contact for CROs and monitor vendor performance throughout project execution.
• Maintain oversight of the regional RWE portfolio and provide project status updates, reports, and insights to support decision-making.
• Serve as a key user for RWE-related systems and disclosure platforms, including CTMS, eCTMF, ENCEPP, and ClinicalTrials.gov.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Procurement, Compliance, and Corporate stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and capability building to strengthen RWE planning, governance, and execution across the ASKAN region.

Requirements

• Relevant degree (e.g. MPH, MSc, BSc, or Ph.D. in epidemiology, health economics/outcomes research, medicine, pharmacy/pharmacology, life sciences or similar) or other professional training combined with training and experience working with real-world data.
• At least 3 years of Real World Evidence work experience; ideally in pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of Real World Evidence design, execution, and reporting
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development/commercialization process
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate business and patient needs into evidence-generation plans
• Experience in running clinical studies in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO e.g., database review, registry, is preferred
• Experience working cross-functionally and across countries
• Presentation, project management, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills and gap assessment experience, data literacy and storytelling
• Proven ability to manage priorities, resources, vendors, and external partnerships.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
