Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer focusing on network automation and monitoring.

You will collaborate with the network team to implement provisioning, monitoring, and operational processes while developing dashboards and tools to enhance visibility. The role requires hands-on programming in Python and JavaScript, UNIX scripting, and SQL, plus familiarity with REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on programming experience with Python, JavaScript, UNIX/Shell scripting, and SQL.
• Familiarity with web application technologies, such as ReactJS, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing or supporting applications in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, SNMP, and network monitoring.
• Understanding of API integration, preferably REST APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Support the network team with automation initiatives including provisioning, monitoring, and operations.
• Develop and maintain network monitoring dashboards to improve visibility.
• Manage and maintain network monitoring systems, tools, and applications.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and enhance applications using Python, JavaScript, UNIX scripting, and SQL.
• Understand, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs and system APIs.
• Maintain and modify existing applications based on approved requirements and change requests.
• Develop programming logic, update technical documentation, and implement coding changes.
• Design, develop, and execute application testing and enhancements.
• Write new program code based on functional and technical specifications.
• Provide BAU production support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous enhancements for existing systems.
• Work with network and infrastructure teams to resolve application and monitoring-related issues.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support and respond to production incidents when required.
• Perform other duties and technical assignments as required.
