RD105-ESG-R&D Mechanical Engineer

Job Duties

1. Under general supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new development.
2. Independently processes data, writes engineering reports, and conducts diagnosis of routine hardware malfunctions.
3. Contributes to reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data.
4. Identifies testing requirements at a system level, emphasizing compliance with test standards and Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
5. Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas with potential without disclosing confidential information.
6. Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications.
7. Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions.
8. May participate in professional societies in the area of specialization.
9. Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
10. Requires two years of related experience, which may be waived with a master's degree.
