Job summary

Nomura offers an internship in Global Markets, Rates Structuring, starting January 2027. You will join a dedicated team, supporting pricing of derivatives and structured notes, assisting with issuance workflows, and preparing marketing pitches for clients.

You'll also contribute to automation using Python, build data pipelines, and gain hands-on experience across trading, sales, and risk functions within a global investment bank in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Finance or Economics).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; interest in interest rate derivatives and structured products.
• Proficiency in Python; Excel an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; a team player able to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Join an established Rates Structuring team and work closely with trading, sales, quants, Legal, Middle and Back-office teams.
• Support the structuring team in day-to-day tasks, including pricing derivatives and structured notes, note issuance workflow, and producing marketing pitches and client presentations.
• Contribute to automation of the desk's platform through Python development—pricing tools, data pipelines, reporting and monitoring.
• Immerse in the rates structuring environment to obtain the relevant skill-set to operate as a rates structurer.
