Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a motivated Dry Etch / Wet Etch Process engineer to support setup and ramp of our next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line in Singapore. You will work with engineering and operations to ensure a smooth technology transfer from pathfinding to pilot production.

The role requires hands-on process knowledge, exceptional coordination across teams, and the ability to travel between Southeast Asia and the USA as needed to meet ramp milestones.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, especially Dry Etch and Wet Etch.
• Willing to work across time zones and collaborate with remote teams.
• Disciplined in tracking deliverables and driving them to completion.
• Willing to travel between Southeast Asia and the USA (~30%).
• Senior or Principal level considered with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and train on existing R&D processes and transfer knowledge to pilot production line.
• Create a comprehensive checklist to ensure successful transfer of processes and material.
• Collaborate across R&D, production process, integration, operations and hardware teams to meet tech transfer timelines.
• Track schedules, deliverables, and risks for technology transfer and production milestones.
• Coordinate training with R&D transfer engineers.
• Support tools and process qualifications at the HVM site.
