Railway Subsystem Engineer - Communications & OT Security Lead

Job summary

Randstad Singapore seeks a Subsystem Engineer (Communications) to lead the project's communications and IT systems, overseeing integrators and subcontractors to ensure compliance with railway standards.

You will manage network architectures, capacity calculations, and installation drawings, ensuring equipment adheres to EN standards and leading tests and handovers with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of system integration or IT project engineering experience.
• Experience in railway systems is a major advantage.
• Strong OT/IoT integration and cybersecurity knowledge (IEC 62443).

Responsibilities

• Lead system integrator and subcontractor activities; review designs and drawings.
• Ensure onboard and backend equipment meet railway and safety standards.
• Oversee deployment of networking, cybersecurity, edge computing and comms gear.
• Integrate onboard sensors, PLCs, and wireless networks (Wi-Fi/BLE/ZigBee/LoRaWAN).
• Lead TVRA for OT and network infra per IEC 62443.
• Develop test plans; witness acceptance tests and verify vendor performance.
• Serve as technical focal point during inspections and handovers.
