Job summary

Hitachi Rail Singapore is seeking an experienced IT/OT Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and secure railway technology systems across control centres, stations, depots, and trackside infrastructure.

You will bridge IT and OT, support cybersecurity, testing, commissioning, and operations, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure secure, available, and maintainable systems throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Control and Automation, or related discipline.
• Typically five or more years of relevant professional experience in railway transportation, critical infrastructure, or high-availability environments.
• Experience in IT/OT integration, network engineering, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, or operational support.
• Experience with suppliers, system integrators, and internal engineering teams.
• Ability to produce clear, auditable engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design cybersecure IT/OT architectures for railway environments.
• Develop network diagrams, system architectures, data-flow diagrams, interfaces, IP plans, and firewall matrices.
• Integrate railway apps with servers, networks, storage, virtualization, identity services, monitoring, and security solutions.
• Prepare tests and support commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities.
